Exhausted
Exhausted: The day after Thanksgiving, in addition to meandering through the abandoned hospital in the Presidio, I made to the other side of the city. Around 24th & 3rd St. is Tire Beach, also called Warm Water Cove, also known as Toxic Beach. Lots of great graf as well, and on the day I was there a crew from LA was working on 3 or 4 burners on the primary wall where pieces seem to change on a daily basis. There was a clear juxtaposition between the bright and vibrant newer pieces and the older, faded ones. Overall, though, with some exceptions, the sense one gets walking around the area is one of ennervation and exhaustion, desolation and loneliness. I loved it.
