1) Inaugurated my first digital camera, a Minolta DiMage xi in August of 2003. 2) Changed my template design from something that looked like this to my current look (feelin the itch for another change). 3) Switched web hosting companies when, halfway through the year, I realised that I had far exceeded my paltry 100 MB storage at Phenominet. A quick rant: Phenominet was exceptionally uncooperative in transfering my domain name. I would send them messages indicating I wanted a transfer and received no response with the exception of these auto-generated emails that warned my domain registration was about to expire and that I would need to sign up for a full year of Phenominet hosting just to renew my domain registration. I finally appealed to my current hosting company, Globat, and they took care of it. I've been fairly satisfied with Globat, by the way -- they've got a really competitive hosting package and responsive customer service for the most part. 4) Decided that my Minolta DiMage was just not sufficient for the kinds of pictures I wanted to take and purchased a Canon Powershot A80 in December of 2003. Am now coveting a Digitial SLR once I get (ha!) an extra grand to spare... 5) Inaugurated a new food blog, Delectation this last July. 6) Inaugurated a separate photoblog, Simulacrum, but later decided I didn't like it and began Simulacra... still not sure I'm completely satisfied with it... It's funny how long -- and short -- a year can be... posted by claudine |Added at 4:36 PM| | personal, 1 year
