NYE 2004, and what's in store for 2005

The year ended really beautifully for me, and it's all a haze of late nights and loud music and drink and dance... We started off at Punch Gallery, where Flo-ology was performing, along with some friends -- Khan -- from France. It was really nice to see the Felonious boys, and especially Keith, who I hadn't heard from since the day he called me after realising once he got off the 280, that the car in front of his was mine. They looked and sounded fantastic, performing new material from a stint in Hamburg... I need to make a point to see them more...

We ended the night at Prem's party, a joint collabo' with True-Skool, Flavor, and Massive Selector. Naturally, for groups like these, there will inevitably be cyphers and rockin all night long...

2004 was in many ways an "ok" year -- not fantastic, made slightly worse by the year's horrible election results. But it was a period where I became exposed to new people and new things, developed a great passion, and managed to reevaluate my life such that I now feel prepared and committed to make significant and big changes for 2005. I became the most politically aware that I've ever been in my life, even more than when I was in college perhaps, and I need to find the strength to look past the immediate depression and apathy that set in after 2 November, and continue that intensity from the past 12 months. I'm going to need energy to begin dancing again with two crews, and the passion to learn and develop more as a performer. I'm going to need the drive and concentration to prep for the LSATs, obtain my references, and finally apply to law school. I'm excited as I write this. I am energised. I am looking forward to 2005.
