Dia de los Muertos, San Francisco, 2004
Before I headed off to watch the election returns I stopped for the parade which began at 24th & Bryant. It seemed much smaller this time, perhaps because it was such a huge election year. I didn't know it then, but I would soon be mourning for America's loss ...
triple base storefront (24th/balmy): "I invited my friend JAWS down to do a live 2 hour noise set. I (crust) will simulteneously be doing live projected animation/illustration about going thru hell to reach heaven."
i ran into my friend pinguim, recently-moved capoeirista
the most adorable little couple. they paused to let me take the picture, and at my smile of thanks, bowed graciously, and moved on...
my favourite undead group of musicians
I haven't really felt like doing much lately. I can't stand hearing that idiot speak -- sometimes the radio is a comfort (Air America); other times it's not. Yesterday I tuned in indybay's coverage of the day after protests which pretty much ran most of the day and long into the night. The only thing that comforts me is taking pictures; everything else seems banal and trite... I think shall have dreams of grinning skeletons and dead Iraqi children running through the streets...
