Then there was this flier, published and distributed by the RNC, and mailed to (targeted religious) voters in Arizona and West Virginia. It depicts a man on bended knee proposing to another man, with bright-yellow block letters shrieking "ALLOWED," next to the tableaux, while a Bible stands, with similar lettering emblazoned accross the cover, "BANNED." The message is clear. "This will be Arizona," the flier intones, "if you don't vote." The message is clear. Vote for John Kerry, and gay liberal hoe-mos will overrun your acrid, tumbleweed-ridden state, burn your bibles, and force you to watch reruns of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy forever and ever, amen. This in the same state where the Republican challenger to Congressman Raul M. Grijalva, is a guy named Joe Sweeney who's been quoted as saying "I hate Mexicans" and, "Hell, yes, I'm a racist."
